Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is a great lot of seven WWII Foreign Language phrase books for soldiers to use in communicating with foreign peoples overseas.
The editions include Burmese, Spanish, Bulgarian, French, Serbo-Croation, Turkish, & Icelandic. All examples are dated 1943 (minus the Burmese which is 1944 and the Icelandic which is 1941) and are in great condition. These would have been imperatively valuable to soldiers crash-landed in unfamiliar lands. Each example measures roughly 4¼ x 5¼” except for the Icelandic which is a normal size manual at 5½ x 8½”.
