Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a nice set of two sheets measuring 8½ x 5½” each, with autographs from both members of the Flying Tigers and Medal of Honor Recipients. All of the signatures show changes in pen pressure, direction, and other color variations consistent with those signed by hand, and not with the use of an autopen or other facsimile device.
The first sheet, with the Flying Tigers insignia, has three different signatures including “Tex” Gill, Ed Rector, and Bob Scott.
The second sheet, with the Medal of Honor at the top, has five signatures, including Joe Foss, a leading Marine Ace of World War II, Ken Walsh, another top Marine Ace of WWII, James H. Doolittle, leader of Doolittle’s Raiders, James H. Howard, a Flying Tigers Medal of Honor recipient, and a 5th recipient that we couldn’t identify the signature of, a great research project!
This is a great set of autographs from men of some of the most sought-after WWII units, ready for further research and display.
