  • Original Item. Only One Available. The 1st Special Service Force was an elite American–Canadian commando unit in World War II, under the command of the United States Fifth Army. The unit was organized in 1942 and trained at Fort William Henry Harrison near Helena, Montana, in the United States. The Force served in the Aleutian Islands, and fought in Italy, and southern France before being disbanded in December 1944.

This is an outstanding display piece for any FSSF Collection, a large pillowcase for U.S. and Canadian paratroops training for the First Special Service Force at Fort William Henry Harrison in Montana during World War II. The pillowcase retains nearly all of its fringe and depicts Paratrooper wings in-between two sets of Crossed arrows, the insignia used on the collar discs of the FSSF.

This example would look fantastic framed with your FSSF collection. The red felt material has some minor loss but the color is very well-retained.

An outstanding FSSF pillowcase, ready to frame and display!
