Original Items: Only One Lot of 4 Available. This is a fantastic grouping of WWII era Aviator wings as worn by the Pilots and Crew members aboard the various types of aircraft during and after the war. All 4 are marked with STERLING on the reverse, with one set being maker-marked to Gemsco.
The wings in this lot:
- One Set of Bombardier Wings marked GEMSCO / STERLING on the back with a very bent pin, and the securing tab appears to be broken off. A very nice set regardless.
- One Set of Aircrew Member wings marked LGB / STERLING with bent but functional pinback.
- One Set of Vaulted Aircrew Member wings with holes at each end meant for attachment of a pin of some sort, marked STERLING. Interesting set.
- One Later and possibly modern set of Aircrew Member wings with a pinback, marked STERLING. The Eagle on this set is not in a circle, and the wings are much straighter. We are unsure of the era of this set.
All details are still crisp but do show wear. Comes ready for display.
