Original Item. Only One Available. This is a truly outstanding piece that took someone a great deal of time to put together. This is the type of album you could’ve bought from Patch King or Hobby Guild and you then ordered the patches and glued them in the album. Most patches are machine embroidered, most unused, but the owner of this album appears to have added some and added their own captions, so there are more patches total than you would normally find in one of these. The album measures 11 ½ x 15 ½ x 2 ½” and contains 352 patches. As is standard in these albums, most of the World War I era patches are all later-made patch king style examples.
The album has 21 numbered pages and is now very thick due to the weight and mass of the patches. None of the patches are detached from the album, but some pages are torn away from the album. The album covers are now a bit loose as the two screws holding it all together are loose, but this could be fixed with some time and effort.
There are some rare examples and some interesting West Point patches as well. One page has 15 different attached armored patches, very rare to see! An outstanding set to become the centerpiece of your patch collection! Be sure to review all photos. Comes ready for further research and display.
