  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely memento from WWII, personalized and presented to US Army Lieutenant Colonel Fred Lewis Plahte. Judging from the size of the wooden propeller this was used on a small aircraft. The prop measures approximately 30 inches in length with a 4 bolt pattern on the center.

The propeller was presented to Plahte when he was a Lieutenant Colonel (Promoted in 1950) during the Korean War era for his work being in a Tank Destroyer unit during WWII. Not much is known about his Military career but it does look like he served from 21 March 1933 into the earlier part of the Vietnam War.

The prop is in wonderful condition with just a bit of storage wear present. All paint and decals are still present.

This would make for an excellent research project!
