Original Items: Only One Lot Available. This is a wonderful assortment of items used by Engineers or Demolitionists during World War II, including a great Army 10 Cap Blasting Machine, a Blasting Galvanometer in its original leather case, and some great blasting cap containers. There are several pieces which are later, but still add to the great display potential.
The lot includes
- WWII Era 10 Cap Blasting Machine by Fidelity Elec. Co., serial number 32939 with brass housing. Leather carrying strap is intact, and the turning handle is intact although it is no longer attached by a chain to the machine. Still turns and makes noise!
- U.S. Model E-80 Blasting Galvanometer by Gray Inst. Co. , serial number 3853, in original leather carrying case with strap. Rare!
- Box of 5 Lighters, Fuse, Weatherproof, M2, with directions still on lid. There are five inside, four are the same and the fifth is a bit thinner.
- Small wooden box meant to hold ten blasting caps with lid and latch. Not marked.
- Box of Stedfast Rubber Co. friction tape, dated September 1943. There is a new roll of Scapa friction tape in the box for display, but it is not WWII original.
- Two igniter, time-blasting fuses, weatherproof, M60. Good shape for display with pull rings.
- Box of 6 cap, blasting, electric, inert. There are six rolls inside with 12 feet of wire each with the caps at the end. The box shows a 3/76 or March 1976 packing date. They don’t all fit inside due to the age.
- Long rope with blasting cap at the end, and pull ring to start it.
- One loose blasting cap, unmarked.
- Crescent No. 2 blasting cap wire cutters, good shape.
- Two long rolls of wire, one blue and wider and the other white and thinner. Likely not WWII vintage but good for display.
This is a fantastic blasting cap kit lot, ready for further research and display!
