The Pistole Parabellum—or Parabellum-Pistole (Pistol Parabellum), commonly known as just Luger —is a toggle-locked recoil-operated semi-automatic pistol which was produced in several models and by several nations from 1898 to 1948. The design was first patented by Georg Luger as an improvement upon the Borchardt Automatic Pistol and was produced as the Parabellum Automatic Pistol, Borchardt-Luger System by the German arms manufacturer Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM). The first production model was known as the Modell 1900 Parabellum. Followed by the "Marinepistole 1904" for the Imperial German Navy. The later versions included the popular "Parabellum Pistole Modell von 1908" or simply "P08" (Pistole 1908) which was produced by DWM and other manufacturers such as W+F Bern, Krieghoff, Simson, Mauser, and Vickers. The first Parabellum pistol was adopted by the Swiss army in May 1900. 1904 they were adopted by the German Navy. In German Army service, it was adopted in slightly modified form as the Pistole Modell 1908 (Pistole 08) in caliber 9×19mm Parabellum. The Model 08 was eventually succeeded by the Walther P38.
This is a lovely WWII Era identification model of the P08 Luger pistol. It is entirely solid and has no moving parts, and does not function at all. It is not available for export.
The paint is heavily worn. A good example, ready for further research and display.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
BLANK GUNS ARE NOT TOYS! Never ever point your blank gun at another person (except for movies, plays etc where that type of behavior is expected). Even though they don't shoot a projectile they can be mistaken for the real thing.
Do not carry your blank gun in public. It should NEVER be carried on the street, hidden on your person, or left carelessly in your car. Do not leave it where it is accessible to unsupervised children or irresponsible adults. If a police officer sees you with one he will shoot first ask questions later. These blank guns look and sound real.
Wear ear protection when firing blank guns. The 8mm round is very loud and can damage hearing. When using a blank-firing, stage prop pistol, always fire them with arm fully extended and at a safe distance from any other person. Always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. NEVER point any blank-firing or stage prop pistol at any person.
When blank-firing stage prop pistols are fired, gunpowder gas is vented forward and sideways through the front of the cylinder, NOT from the muzzle. This gas is hot, and may contain small particles of powder debris. At arm's length it dissipates harmlessly into the air, but if your hands, face or other parts of your body are in close proximity to the vent hole it can cause burns, cuts or abrasions.
