Original U.S. WWII Era Excellent Condition M1916 .45 Colt 1911 Leather Holster by Sears - Dated 1942

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare totally original M1916 holster, made by Sears Saddlery Co. of Davenport, Iowa, in excellent condition. It shows very little sign of being used, with just a bit of wear on the interior. It is marked SEARS 1942 on the back, and embossed U S in an oval on the flap, indicating that this was a military issue holster. Someone has stamped a 2 over the maker’s mark.
The leather body of the holster is a lovely honey brown, while the belt loop / clip holder has just a bit of age staining from the clip. All stitches still intact, all brass parts still present with a small bit of verdigris, and a steel WWII style belt clip. The leather is still supple as well, and the leg tie down is still intact! Just perfect for a high grade WWII issue 1911 .45 pistol!
