  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very interesting piece that we haven’t been able to find much reference of, an AAF-marked cartridge counter meant to be wired into an aircraft’s machine gun to assist the gunner in depletion-control. This example comes with the wires still attached at the end and in its original box!

The counter drops by 2 with every turn of the wheel, denoting that this would be meant for a dual-machine gun. There are a few different markings on the piece, inspector stamps along with PR-3 F. The numbers still decrease with ease. The small button on the right side allows the counter to be moved in the opposite direction.

The original box measures 2 x 2 ¾ x 2½” and is in good overall condition with some tape keeping the lids on. The stock class is O 3-C, and it appears to have been dated 5-7-43, but that date is very faint. There is a repack date of July 9th, 1953 on the lid.

A great example, ready for further research and display.
