  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind Group. Technical Sergeant Albert John Revella (ASN: 35500326) was a member of the 907th Glider Field Artillery Battalion, 101st Airborne Division. He participated in D-Day, Operation Market Garden, The Siege of Bastogne as part of the larger Battle of the Bulge, and fought all the way through the end of the war, being awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

    This phenomenal uniform grouping includes:

    - Revella’s Ike uniform jacket with with a 101st Airborne patch and rocker on the left shoulder, an Allied Airborne patch on the right shoulder, Technical Sergeant chevrons on each sleeve, four overseas stripes and a service stripe on the left cuff, US & Field Artillery collar discs with 907th Glider Field Artillery Battalion Distinctive Insignia below them, a French fourragère cord on the right shoulder, and a Dutch Order of the Orange Lanyard as Awarded to U.S. Paratroopers for Operation Market Garden on the left shoulder. Above the right breast pocket is a Presidential Unit Citation with a frame and above that is a Ruptured Duck honorable discharge patch. Above the left breast pocket is a great set of Sterling marked Glider wings, with a campaign star attached to the front, often done by Paratroopers, and below that is a 4-place ribbon bar with the Bronze Star Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal with four campaign stars and an invasion arrowhead. On the interior, the name A.J. REVELLA is written under the collar, and there is a size tag, 36S.
    - Revella’s Garrison cap with a Glider Paratrooper badge on the side, with red piping for field artillery. Of note, the glider on the patch has an added red stitching border, likely done by the soldier to indicate his branch. A laundry number, G-7934, is stamped inside, incorrect for Revella, and on the sweatband is inscribed 101 / 907 GAB. The sweatband is mostly detached from the cap.
    - Revella’s Bronze Star Medal in its presentation case, unengraved, with ribbon and pin. Also in this case is his dog tag, reading REVELLA, ALBERT J. / 35500326 T-42 O / C.
