Original Item: One-of-a-kind. As seen in the fantastic book The Model 1918 Mark I Trench Knife and Variations by Greg Aloisio on page 200, this knife is a custom made cast fighting knife with leather sheath. The author used this knife and a specimen for his wonderful book and even signed page 200 where this knife is featured. The signed copy of the book accompanies the purchase of this knife.
The knife features a single- edged blade, sturdy construction and cast aluminum knuckle grip. It has custom made wartime leather scabbard with belt hanger. The knife measures 10 ½” in overall length with an approximately 6 ½” blade. It is offered in very good condition with fantastic provenance.
Overall a very interesting custom WW2 trench knife featured in the definitive book on the subject, you can't ask for more than that!
