Original Item: One-of-a-kind. As seen in the fantastic book Knuckle Knives of the Second World War by Greg Aloisio on page 312, this knife is a custom made cast fighting knife with leather sheath. The author used this knife and a specimen for his wonderful book and even signed page 312 where this knife is featured. The signed copy of the book accompanies the purchase of this knife.
This knife is a converted 1903 Springfield rifle bayonet converted into a fighting knife. It measures 13 inches overall with a 9 inch blade and full tang. It is offered in very good condition with fantastic provenance.
Overall a very interesting custom WW2 trench knife featured in the definitive book on the subject, you can't ask for more than that!
