Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very scarce WWII era Chemical Warfare Service First-Aid Kit for Gas Casualties, a very heavy set that comes in a briefcase-style transit case which opens and has two locking doors that when opened reveal the outstanding contents of this set.
The briefcase when closed measures roughly 12 ¼ x 23 x 5”. The case is marked as manufactured by Ortho Products Inc. of Linden, New Jersey, Lot Number 2, Serial number 666.
The case retains both instruction labels along with the scissors, tweezers, and spoon held in the case lid. The contents include:
- Pair of black surgical gloves.
- Four boxes of Red Cross Gauze by Johnson & Johnson
- Eight boxes of Red Cross Cotton, 1 Ounce each box.
- Four boxes of Aspirols Amyl Nitrite by Eli Lilly.
- Four boxes of Six Ioply Tubes, iodine.
- Six Red Cross Bandage 6 Yards in cylindrical tubes.
- Two boxes of Pontocaine Compound ointment.
- Two tins of Adhesive Plaster “ZO” by Johnson & Johnson.
- 100 Aspirin tablets in original bottle.
- Chloroform Merck in box. Poison.
- Drinking glass.
- Bar of soap in original plastic container.
- Two bottles of Copper Sulfate USP XI.
- Two bottles of Sodium Bicarbonate USP XI.
- Bottle of Aromatic Spirits of Ammonia.
- Two empty bottles.
