Original Items. One-of-a-Kind Group. This is a lovely ephemera grouping of of Frederick W. Burton, an enlisted man serving with the Indo China Division, Air Transport Command during the Second World War. He served as aircrew aboard vessels during the war.
The group is housed within a 12 ¾ x 17” frame, and includes:
- Dog Tag for Frederick W. Burton, serial number 12280052.
- Sterling Aircrew wings.
- ATC and Coelum ad Proelium Elige enamel pins.
- AAF, ATC, and 6th Air Force patches, with Training Command patches and AAF Mechanic patch.
- Ladder badges with Pistol and Carbine badges on one and Air Mechanic on the other.
- Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, and WWII Victory Medal, all with their ribbons.
- Original Bible with forward by President Roosevelt.
We have not found any info on Burton, making for a good research project. A very interesting ATC group, ready for further research and display!
