Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a wonderful example of a hard to find WWII fighting knife in really fantastic mint condition, complete with it's original belt scabbard. This lovely "Pig Sticker" knife was made by Case cutlery, one of many companies making similar knives. During WWII there was a very large demand for fighting knives, particularly in the Pacific theater. Not all soldiers would normally be issued them, so the private market for fighting knives was booming.
This example is however a bit different than most we have seen from Case, as it features a chrome plated single edged "Clip Point" Bowie style blade, whereas most of these that we see had double edged spear point blades. Most also had wooden handles, while this has a lovely "jigged bone" handle. We have seen some examples with single edged spear point blades, as well as some with jibbed bone handles, but only one with the bowie blade, which was not chrome plated. There look to have been several "unknown" patterns of these knives, and like this one, they were only marked CASE on the blade ricasso, which is widened to also be the crossguard. Condition is really great, with little to no signs of use, and the belt scabbard is also in great shape, and even has military style clips on the top for attachment to a pistol belt.
Overall this is a great chance to own wonderful condition rare variant of the Case "pig sticker" Knife, complete with an original correct scabbard. This would be a fantastic way to fill out a World War II US military knives. Ready to display!
