Original Item: One-of-a-kind. Wartime nostalgia at its best! Written on blue ink BING CROSBY HOLLYWOOD stationary measuring 7 x 10 is the following letter:
June 30, 1944
Dear Miss Hope:
Due to material shortages, I'm not
going to be able to send out any more photos
for the duration. It's almost impossible to
obtain photo stock envelopes or card boards
and I 'm saving what we have to take care of
the requests of the boys and girls in the
different services.
I'm sure you'll bear with me in this
until Victory is ours, and we can settle down
again in peaceful living.
Our next picture is "Going My Way.
Leo McCarey is the director, and Burke and
Van Heusen, whose Dixie tunes are doing so
well, wrote the score.
