Original U.S. WWII Army Air Forces & Tank Crew Flak Goggles Face Mask with Padding & Strap

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a fantastic example of what have become one of the most contested pieces of WWII field gear, the AAF Flak Goggles. These were said to have been used by air crews, but certainly saw service with tank crews as well, paired with the M3 Flak Helmet.
The goggles retain the majority of their paint as well as the stitching that connects the padding to the goggles. The original elastic strap is retained but has lost all of its elasticity, and would likely rip apart if someone tried to stretch it. The strap has a small latch that one side attaches to. The padding on the interior is in great shape with just light staining.
This is an exceedingly scarce set of goggles, the first of its kind we have ever offered. Comes ready for further research and display.
