  • Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice Korean War Era U.S. Air Force practice bomb, which after service was stripped and chrome plated to serve as a display piece. These were originally used for practice bombing runs, as well as testing the accuracy of bomb sighting. They were used in place of much larger live bombs for smaller aircraft. They were very popular items to take home, as unguided aerial bombs rapidly became a thing of the past towards the later decades of the 20th century.

Overall it measures 22 1/2 inches long and just over 4 inches wide at the base of the fin assembly. Condition is very good, with the chrome plating well retained, with just some deformation to the bottom fins, probably from service. It still retains the original hanging loop on the top, so it could be hung from an appropriately strong mounting. This can be removed if desired.

A great piece of memorabilia from the WWII era, ready to display!
