Original U.S. WWII Army Air Forces “Africa” Engraved Trench Art Lighter

Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a really stellar piece of trench art from World War II with the insignia of the Army Air Forces engraved on one side, with AFRICA engraved underneath. This was certainly a souvenir either made or bought by an airman serving in North Africa during the war.
The lighter measures 2¾ x 1⅞ x 4⅝” and is in good shape, however it does not appear to be functioning as a lighter. There is a small metal piece which lifts up to reveal the wick, which is present but the wheel which is meant to spark it is loose and doesn’t work properly. This would be a good restoration piece.
