Original Items: Only One Set Available. Incredible ultra rare WWII USAF Arctic Leather and Fur Jacket or Parka Type B-7 in Size 40 Regular manufactured by the Aero Leather Clothing Company of Beacon New York.
The Type B-7 Arctic Parka was originally designed for flight crews and ground personnel based in extreme cold and remote locations during World War II. The B-7 Flight jacket is a mid-thigh length jacket that features a hood lined with Wolf or Reindeer fur and a drawstring on the hood for protection against the bitter winds and blowing snowstorms. There are two deep open-top front map/cargo pockets which are perfect for keeping gloves handy, and two additional front zippered pockets with leather reinforcements at key stress points. There are toggle buttons alongside the covered zipper, storm cuffs, leather rank tabs at the shoulder. Type B-7, Spec. No 3120 was adopted on 12 June 1941. It was designed as a cold weather flight jacket. The jacket is not coated on the surface, so as to prevent dryness and cracking caused by freezing at the poles. The front can be opened and closed by buttons and loops and the outside is equipped with a zipper. The tag inside the neck reads: Type B-7 Spec. No 3120 Order No. W 535-AC-27056 Property Air Force, U.S. Army Aero Leather Clo. Co. Beacon, NY 40R. Overall condition is very good.
Also, included is a matching set of Type A-6 type pants. The tag reads; Type A-6 Spec. No 3119 Order No. W 535-AC-2550 Property Air Force, U.S. Army Aero Leather Clo. Co. Beacon, NY 40R. Overall condition is very good.
Also, included is a matching set of Type A-10 boots in size medium. One boot has damaged fur/skin, see photos.
