Original Items: Only One Pair Available. Excellent lightly used unmatched pair of WWII AAF flying boots made from shearling fleece with molded rubber soles. These were improved from the Type A-6 by adding leather straps over the instep and ankle to help prevent the boots from falling off during a parachute descent. Fleece and leather is in very good condition with no damage and little wear.
Rubber shoe sections are soft and pliable and show very little wear. Zippers retain original leather pullers and are intact and working. Leather straps and buckles all present and in solid condition. Thick, fleece lining and clear labels with heavy CROWN zippers.
Right Boot: Large size 7 1/2 - 8 1/2 and well-known maker BRISTOLITE.
Left Boot: XL size 9-10 and well-known present day maker CONVERSE.
While they are an unmatched pair, the size difference is very difficult to discern to the naked eye. For display purposes you'd never know. However, if you are wearing these boots, that could be an issue. Wonderful AAF logo decal on both boots. Overall very good condition.
