Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rare unissued survival flask from the E-17 emergency kit issued to WW2 Air Crews in case they were shot down or crashed.
The flask is constructed from an early yellow translucent form of plastic and is in very good condition. This version is called a "bale top" because or the metal bar that keeps it closed. This particular kit is complete and contains the following:
- 4 Sticks of Wrigley's Chewing Gum
- Two Chocolate Ration packages
- Aspirin
- Halazon tablets
- Antiseptic ointment
- Matches in a waterproof vial
- Caramels
- Small saw/file
- Adhesive tape.
The flask itself is to be used for water. Kit is offered in aged but unissued condition. Finding complete kits is exceptionally difficult as these were issued to hungry air crews on ling bombing runs!
Idiot Clause - the contents of this kit are pre-1945 manufacture and are NOT suitable for consumption. They are being sold as novelty collector pieces only.
