Original Item: Only One Available. Adolf H, Tojo and Mussolini were the war’s three most recognized villains. Thousands of ashtrays, dart boards, badges, toys, coloring books, posters, comics and many other homemade items such as this one. Homefront collectibles are starting to become popular again and are surprisingly difficult to find at times.
This is a lovely "screw' style wooden nut cracker, which has been carved and decorated to look like a caricature Adolf H, der führer of the NSDAP during their 12 year rule of Germany. We have seen many period nutcrackers of this type, and they seem to have been made in a wide variety of designs. It measures about 2 1/2" across the "ears", and 2 1/4" front to back, with a height of 4 5/8" with the bottom screwed in all of the way.
Overall condition is very nice, showing some wear to the paint, as well as worked in dirt and fading to the "hair", as one would expect after 70+ years. The base still screws in relatively easily, though we have not tested it to see if it is still able to cack open the shells of nuts.
Just the thing for any homefront propaganda collector! Comes ready for further research and display!
