Original Item: One-of-a-kind set. This is an exceptionally rare complete uniform set for a nurse in the American Red Cross during World War II. Luella Klauser was the wife of Karl Klauser who was a manager in the Brokerage Merrill Lynch, Piercer, Fenner & Beane based in New York City during WW2. His wife, Luella, was at home in Pittsburg and served in the American Red Cross to assist in the war effort. Included in this extensive grouping are the following items:

- WWII American Red Cross Service gray worsted tunic with white tabs on the epaulettes and pinned-on shoulder insignia with matching skirt and hat with insignia.

- WWII period suitcase by Platt with initials L.M.K.

- Hundreds of wartime and port war letters and correspondence some of it on original Merrill Lynch letterhead.

- Dozens of WW2 and post war photos, a large scrap book and  two large photos that show Luella in this very uniform.

- Red "Thermo-Keep" purse which was used for blood collection drives in order to transport cold blood in ice.

- Numerous badges (25 year Red Cross enamel service pin), patches, buttons.

- So much more!

Vintage wartime American Red Cross collectibles are very difficult to locate on the market today, ones of this breadth are nearly impossible to find.
