  • Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. Now this is a fantastic display piece, perfect for the avid aviator collector! This 9⅞ x 18⅝” cut piece of aircraft material is part of the Roundel removed from an American aircraft during the Pre-WWII to WWII period. This exact design of the Roundel was in use in 1917, and again from 1921-1941.

The back of the skin is inscribed:

    Piece from
    Plane accident
    When John was in
    Service in Hawaii

We do not have any further information about where this piece came from, but it is without a doubt original with a fantastic patina. There is heavy cracking in the paint, and fraying along the edges of the cloth. There is some stitching of the fabric in one corner on the back.

A fantastic display piece, ready to frame and display.
