Original Items: Only One Lot Available. This is an appealing group of five original WWII era LIFE Magazine issues featuring American Airborne troops on their covers. The lot includes two issues titled “War Glider,” two issues titled “U.S. Army Parachutist,” and one issue titled “U.S. Trains Parachutists.”
The covers contain excellent period depictions of U.S. Airborne forces, including both parachute infantry and glider troops. Particularly interesting are the scarce wartime images showing soldiers inside a military glider, offering a vivid look at an important but often overlooked element of American Airborne operations during WWII.
The magazines are dated 1940, 1941, and 1942. All five remain in varying condition, consistent with their age and original use.
This is a visually impressive group of original wartime magazines that would display especially well alongside a U.S. Airborne, paratrooper, or glider infantry collection.
