Original U.S. WWII Airborne Paratrooper Leather Gloves with Buckle Adjustment & Full Markings - Size 9

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Pair Available. These are nearly impossible to find on the market today: an authentic pair of World War Two United States Airborne Paratrooper Leather Gloves as used by Para's on D-day on June 6th 1944! These gloves were originally designed to be cavalry riding gloves, but were adopted for use by US airborne paratroopers during WWII. They were issued with and without buckles, and this pair is the version with the buckle adjustment for the wrist closure.

Both are nicely marked on the interior with data stamps and size 9 (Medium), as well as what looks to be the full manufacturer and contract information! This is a bit hard to read, but this pair looks to have been made by the same company, which looks to be R. ANTEVIL & CO., a known supplier of gloves. They are marked with additional markings, such as the contract number, and were accepted at the Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot.

Both are offered in very good supple condition, and they do not appear to have seen much use it all, and are barely even broken in. A nearly identical pair can be found at the WWII Airborne Museum.
