  • Original Item. Only One Available. AN-6530 Goggles were produced during World War II as eye protection for United States Army and Navy flight crews. In 1943, the AN-6530 design served as a product modification of the USAAF B-7 goggle produced by Chas Fischer Spring Company of Brooklyn, New York. Contracts for AN-6530 goggles were awarded to Chas Fischer Spring Co. and American Optical.

This is an outstanding set of unissued AN-6530 goggles in their original box, with the spare lenses still wrapped in their original paper. The goggles are entirely unused and are in fantastic condition. The side of the box reads:

    FRAME: FLYING GOGGLE
    SPECIFICATION NO. AN-GG-F-626
    DWG NO. 33D5020
    TYPE AN6530
    CONTRACT NO. NXs-321
    Manufactured by
    The Chas. Fischer Spring Co.
    Brooklyn, N.Y.

The contract info for the original spare lenses read:

    Contr. (36-938) 44-3002
    Spec. AKIDD-L-236

This would denote a 1944 contract. An outstanding set of scarce goggles, ready for further research and display.
