Original U.S. WWII AAF CBI Pilot’s Uniform with Bullion SSIs and Officer’s Visor Cap - Sterling Pilot Wings

Original Items. Only One Group Available. This is a lovely little group consisting of an AAF Pilot Lieutenant's WWII uniform with gorgeous theater-made bullion CBI (China, Burma, India) and AAF patches. The set comes with his officer’s visor and an Air Force Manual for “Coming Home”.
The officer’s uniform jacket has a bullion CBI patch on the left shoulder and a bullion AAF patch on the right shoulder. There are US & AAF collar insignia, 2nd Lieutenant bars on each shoulder, and a three-place ribbon bar with the Air Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific campaign medal, and the Philippine Liberation medal. Over this is a set of Sterling pilot’s wings. The jacket is sized 37L with a November 1942-dated maker’s tag.
The officer’s visor cap has an E-Z cushion sweatband which is almost entirely detached. There is no maker mark but the initials R.L.W.B. are written behind the eagle badge on the interior.
Also included is an AIR FORCES MANUAL NO. 59, dated February 1945. A great graphic book with good tips on returning to civilian life after the war.
