Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. This is a lovely WWII C-41 & C-42 double-sided Escape map showing the Philippine Islands on one side, and the rest of the islands including Palawan on the other side. What is very interesting is that this example was actually used and annotated! The white borders of the map have all been cut off by the pilot for easier use.
The map now measures roughly 17 ½ x 23”, and has a myriad of very interesting markings included dating submarine sinkings, the torpedoing or near-torpedoing of some ships, a burial at sea, and many other interesting remarks.
A very interesting map, worthy of being framed! Ready to display.
