The jacket bears Captain’s bars on the shoulders, a bullion British-made 8th AF patch on the left shoulder, US & AAF collar insignia, and a stitched blue “combat crew” field with bullion pilot’s wings on top. There is a four-place British-made ribbon bar on the left breast pocket with the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with 2 OLCs, the Purple Heart Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern campaign medal with two stars.
