Item Description

Original Items: One-of-a-kind set. This is a wonderful eye pleasing professional framed WWII grouping which measures 33" x 18". It features a 651st Tank Destroyer Battalion Pictorial Annual Book Cover, two original photos of the serviceman, a tank destroyer patch, 5th Army patch, two 6th Armored Division patches, a Bronze Star Medal and an original Bronze Star Medal Certificate that reads:

Citation

Technician Grade Four Clarence J. Kurt, (Army Serial Number 39604394). Field Artillery, Battery "A", 231st Armored Field Artillery Battalion, United States Army. For meritorious service service in connection with the military operations in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany during the period 8 November 1944 to 15 April 1945. As a tank mechanic, he has shown a high degree of efficiency and dependability, contributing largely to the successful operations of his battery. Entered the military service for Montana.  

Also included, nicely tucked into a plastic sleeve pocket on the back of the frame, is a complete 651st Tank Destroyer Battalion Year Book with photos. These books are quite rare as the 651st was formed on Mar 13, 1943, at Camp Bowie, TX.  Disbanded on May 29, 1944, at Camp Howze, TX and the  personnel transferred to the 140th Infantry.
