The flag is large and measures 5’' x 9.5'’ It is a sturdy wool is a multiple piece construction that and has been stitched together, the 48 stars are also individually stitched into place. Typically cotton and wool flags were issued during WWII and a nylon flag was issued during the Korean War. Earlier flags than WWII were generally only made of wool blend. Condition is excellent. Nicely stamped: PHILADELPHIA QUARTERMASTER 5 x 9 1/2. There are a some minor stains and one small hole but otherwise the flag is in excellent condition
