Original Item. Only One Available. This is a scarce WWII U.S.M.C. Canteen set with both the early 1st Pattern cover with Durasnaps, and a reused WWI Canteen & cup.
The canteen cover is the very rare USMC 1st Pattern, with the Durasnaps still fully intact and working, although caution should be taken when opening the cover. It is in fantastic condition with wear on the middle from the cup being pressed against the inside. The belt hanger still functions well.
The canteen is unmarked but has the early metal cap and chain which dates it to WWI. The cup is faintly marked at the bottom, dated 1918.
