  • Original Item: One-of-a-kind set. This uniform is named to corporal R.E. ROTHS and comes with a printed modern copy of a colorized photo of that Marine with his name handwritten on the reverse side. According to the US Marine Corps Casualty Indexes, Ronald Eugene Roths (Service number 851784) was Wounded in Action and later died from his injuries on May 9th, 1945. He was assigned to the Head Quarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.


    The uniform jacket  is complete with EGA's 1st Marine Division Guadalcanal patch, medal ribbons, and French fourragere. The ribbons are pin-backed.

    After the outbreak of war, the 5th Marines deployed to Wellington, New Zealand in June 1942. During World War II they fought on Guadalcanal, New Britain, Eastern New Guinea, Peleliu and Okinawa.
