The SCR-625 was a mine detector that was used by the United States during WWII. The 625 had a total length of 1.8 meters and a total weight of 3.4 kilograms. Its design consisted of a metal coil at the bottom of the searching rod which led into the operator's bag which itself contained the batteries needed for operation. The operator of the detector was also given a pair of headphones.
