Original Item. Only One Available. This 1944 dated Army Officer table top fold out desk with original paint is in overall fine condition. Drawers function and hinges operate smoothly. This example is missing the typewriter but retains all drawers. This is a wonderful portable mobile desk. There is a send-home label on the top which is now very worn so we can’t make out the sender, but we can partially see the shipping address which is “McSkala… Supply Off., 2015 E. 71st Street, Chicago 49, Illinois, ATTN: 121st Mil. Intel. Det.” A good research opportunity.
The desk retains its brass oval data plate which reads:

The trunk measures 20 ½” x 15 ¾” x 14 ¼” when closed. The leather carrying straps are heavily worn, and we would not recommend carrying it by these straps, as they break very easily.
A great service-used example, just missing the typewriter. Comes ready for further research and display.
