Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very attractive 101st Airborne Division Paratrooper Ike Jacket for a 1st Sergeant in a Parachute Infantry Regiment. The jacket has a great Bronze Star ribbon bar and a lovely “Screaming Eagle” Old Abe patch with Airborne rocker on the left shoulder.
The jacket has First Sergeant chevrons on both sleeves, three overseas stripes and a service stripe on the left cuff, US & Infantry collar discs, a Presidential Unit Citation with an OLC on the right breast pocket, and a Ruptured Duck Honorable Discharge patch over the right breast pocket. On the left breast pocket is a Combat Infantryman Badge, and over this is a 5-place ribbon bar with the Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four campaign stars, the American Campaign medal, and the WWII Victory medal. Above this is a set of Sterling Paratrooper wings. On the left shoulder is a French Fourragère cord.
The interior has a size tag, 36S, and a contract tag with a date of June 17th, 1944. There are no initials or name on the interior we could find. There was a spare loose set of three overseas stripes and a service stripe in the pocket.
A good 101st Airborne First Sergeant’s Ike jacket, ready for further research and display!
