Original U.S. WWII 101st Airborne Division & Airborne Command Sergeant First Class Uniform with Beaded Patches & Laundry Number - Size 42R

Item Description

WWII 101st Airborne material are some of the hardest most collectible items on the market, due to the small number of paratroops that landed in combat in comparison to infantry soldiers.

This very nice condition tailor made WW2 Class A Uniform jacket worn by an officer in the 101st Airborne who landed in Europe and fought during WW2. The jacket bears lovely beaded-border 101st Airborne and Airborne Command patches on the shoulders, Sergeant First Class chevrons on each sleeve, three overseas stripes on the left cuff, and US & Infantry collar insignia. Theres a Presidential Unit Citation with a border and one OLC above the right breast pocket, and there is a Combat Infantryman Badge on the left breast pocket. Above the pocket is a 4-place ribbon bar with the Purple Heart with an OLC, the Good Conduct Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four campaign stars and an invasion arrowhead, and the WWII Victory Medal. Above this is a set of Sterling paratrooper wings.

The interior of the jacket is marked with Size 42R and laundry number B7667. With this, there is a possibility to identify this uniform, however slim.

The included shirt is marked Size 15½-34 and is in good shape. The shirt has a 101st Airborne patch on the left shoulder as well as Corporal chevrons, so it may not have originally been with the jacket.

A great 101st uniform, ready for further research and display.
