Original U.S. WWI X7.5 Model 1918 Trench Periscope by Wollensak Optical Co. With Leather Case

Original item: Only One Available. Measuring 19 ⅝ inches in length, this is a very nice WWI Era Model 1918 “Battery Commanders” periscope. In X 7.5 power, these were used to help view and plot artillery attacks from behind cover, to avoid exposing the commander to danger.
The bottom of the periscope still has the manufacturer’s markings:

Still providing a good image, lenses needing a good internal clean however is still usable. The eye cup is still present, and in great shape, and the focus diopter works correctly.
The leather carry case is still quite solid with the only real issue being that the carrying strap has some tears as well as heavy cracking and crazing. The case is marked B.A.T.&S. Co., and the securing strap is still intact, hard to find.
Condition overall is worn, but the original paint is well-retained, with some the brass visible underneath.
