Original item: Only One Available. Measuring 27 3/4 inches in length, this is a very nice WWI Era Model 1918 Battery Commanders periscope. In X 6 power, these were used to help view and plot artillery attacks from behind cover, to avoid exposing the commander to danger.
The bottom of the periscope still has the manufacturer’s markings:

Still providing a good image with built in cross hairs, lens needing a good internal clean however but still usable. The bakelite eye cup is still present, and in great shape, and the focus diopter works correctly.
Condition overall is worn, but the original camouflage paint can still be seen, even with the chips through to the brass body. There is a fitting halfway up the periscope for attachment to a large tripod, which would be used for more precise measurements.
