Original Items. Only One Lot Available. This is an excellent seven-piece assortment of original U.S. WWI and WWII field equipment, spanning everything from an early military compass and complete 1918 canteen set to WWII wire cutters, first-aid equipment, pistol belt, and TL-122A flashlight. The pieces remain in varying but generally very good condition and together form a useful representative group for an American WWI or WWII field-equipment display. Not Available For Export due to the radium-containing compass.
This lot of field gear includes:
- TL-122A flashlight by Eveready, bulb is intact but no battery.
- US WWII Wire cutters in original pouch by Hoff MFG dated 1942. Cutters are dated 1941 by HKP. Excellent.
- Heavy duty WWI Era Lensatic Compass No. 5589, rare early variant in original case. High amount of radium. Measures as extremely radioactive. Be careful when handling.
- WWII First Aid kit by the American Awning Co dated 1943. Bandage inside is Carlisle Model, sealed.
- WWI M1910 Canteen set in excellent unissued condition. Cover is by Perkins Campbell dated 10-30-18, canteen is AGM Co dated 1918, and cup is also AGM Co 1918. Cover marked AAW on the back. Excellent.
- M1911 Magazine pouch, dated 9-1918 by F.S.F. Excellent.
- M1936 Pistol belt by K.L. Co dated 1942. Excellent.
Taken together, the seven pieces provide a useful cross-section of U.S. field equipment from the closing months of WWI through WWII. Particularly noteworthy are the 1918 M1910 canteen set, early No. 5589 radium compass with case, 1941-dated HKP wire cutters with 1942 Hoff pouch, Eveready TL-122A flashlight, 1943 American Awning first-aid pouch with sealed Carlisle packet, 1918 M1911 magazine pouch, and 1942 M1936 pistol belt.
