  • Original Item: Only One Set Available. Complete set of 100 stereographs of Volume 1 and Volume 2 World War I images edited and compiled by Joseph Mills Hanson, covers the war in chronological sequence--from events preceding the war and the U.S. entry into the war, to the signing of the Peace Treaty. Photographs show major battles; scenes on the British, Balkan, Italian, and French fronts; artillery; aviation; war devastation; and care of the wounded. It also includes lesser known topics such as refugees of Belgium and France; the use of dogs in the war; feeding the army; and recreation and welfare workers in the U.S. Army. This particular set (the 1923 edition) is known for including more action scenes than earlier sets and for views that work particularly well as stereographs.

Comes complete with functional viewer and some additional stereographs.
