We have for offer an original U.S. military issued trench scope, as widely issued to members of the American Expeditionary Force (A.E.F.) during WWI.
This Olive Green painted, wood construction Trench Periscope comes with an adjustable leg prop. Unlike some, this particular periscope was not fitted with a belt hook.. The battlefield is viewed by the use of two opposing glass mirrors, one top, one bottom. A fairly crude design but it got the job done. Very good condition for its age, some of the silvering on the glass mirrors is lifting and slightly dark/faded but you can still view through the periscope perfectly. A very hard to find genuine Great War example.
