Original Items. Very Few Available. During WWI, the YMCA provided 90% of the general welfare to American troops numbering over 4 million with the help of 26,000 paid workers and 35,000 volunteers. They provided entertainment for the troops and managed the U.S. mail, helping soldiers write letters to loved ones. They also provided morale boosters such as religious activities and even roller skating rinks. They also provided coffee, tea, donuts, and cigarettes at mobile canteens, where soldiers from the front lines could come to relax and recover.

We are offering a great selection of small size posters issued by the United War Work Campaign during WWI. Each poster measures roughly 6 ⅞ x 10 ½” and will look great in any WWI collection.

The posters depict men of the Army, Marine Corps, and Navy with KEEP THEM SMILING underneath. The border has logos of seven organizations affiliated with the campaign. Some posters were cut unevenly but all are about the same size.
