- Original Item: One-of-a-kind. This is a standard World War One U.S. issue web trouser belt with a Russell Manufacturing Company buckle. However, the soldier created a souvenir trench art style belt by amassing 25 buttons, badges and medals and attaching them to this belt. The belt may have belonged to a French solider as the final piece bears a French WW1 dog tag that reads PIOUT LOUIS 1893. The pieces range in nationality from U.S., British, French, and others. Just something a solider with hours and days of downtime in a muddy trench would create. A very appealing and interesting piece of Great War history.
