  • Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very scarce example of a World War I era pocket knife manufactured by Press Button Knife Co. of Walden, New York. This company existed from 1893-1926, with this exact style being manufactured until around 1923.

The 3⅝” blade is in good condition but is a bit loose to the knife and rattles a bit. The button still works well and retains the blade when not in use. The lovely horn grips are well-retained with just a crack on one side. The ricasso reads:

    PRESS BUTTON
    KNIFE CO.
     WALDEN, N.Y.

    And on the other side:

    U.S. PAT.
    470605

The blade retains its finish well and the knife shows service usage. WWI examples are very difficult to find, and their design were used heavily during World War II and the Korean War with the Airborne Schrade knives.

A great example, ready for further research and display.
