Original U.S. WWI Named Victory Medal with Three Campaign Bars in Original Issue Box with Ribbon - John Castro

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very nice WWI Victory medal with bars for Oise-Aisne, Meuse-Argonne, and Defensive Sector. The medal comes in its original box which is named on the top to John Castro. There are several John Castro’s in the Army Transportation logs, but we couldn’t find one with this exact bar combination, making for a great research project. This combination of bars is very specific, and only appears to be used by the 55th and 56th Regiments, Coastal Artillery Corps, or by members of the 32nd Division who joined the division late.
The box comes with the original paper that lists the clasps and the medal’s serial number ,1263164, and the receipt for the medal, which lists the issue date as 1941.
