Original Items: One-of-a-kind Set. This is the formal dress uniform including the Hat, Sword Belt and Epauletts of Lieutenant Commander William Edward Lawhead USN who served with the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corp during World War One.
- Naval dress uniform fore-and-aft bacon hat comprised of beaver skin with gold bullion trim and button. Marked in gold on the interior crown: THE 5th NATIONAL EXHIBITIONS K Kusafuji, YOKOHAMA. Original paper size label still present on the leather sweatband and reads 7 1/4. Offered in very good condition.
- Brush epaulettes with fine gold wire bells and silver bullion anchor also marked K Kusafuji, YOKOHAMA.
- Leather sword belt with three rows of gold wire decoration and gilt brass buckle emblazoned with displayed eagle and anchor.
- Leather case with interior lined in purple velvet. The exterior has original paper label that reads: W.M. LAWHEAD, LT. USN.
